Book distributors work to help authors and publishers get their books in brick and mortar bookstores, libraries, specialty shops, schools, and other pertinent markets. The list that follows is by not means exhaustive, and self-published authors may find some of these businesses closed to them, but don’t despair if you’re self-published. There are some out there that will help. Do your homework and shop wisely if you’re looking for a partner to distribute your title(s). Different distributors offer different services. Some have aggressive sales staff that will help you find buyers while others leave it to authors/publishers to do that work.
